In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices, and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 8 January at 07:30 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred on the road near the Township Public Hospital in Myoma Ward of Singaing Town, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that so-called PDF terrorists (under investigation) were driving a Toyota Hijet vehicle from Tayokesu Ward towards Myoma Ward when they threw three improvised bombs from the vehicle before fleeing. The bombs exploded on the road. As a result of the explosions, U Thiha Aung (34 years old) and his wife, Daw Nan Soe Soe Khine (42 years old), who both live in Myoma Ward passing through at that time, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel. They were transported to Singaing Township Public Hospital for medical care, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the offenders of the acts of terrorism from the above incident in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
