With the intent to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative officials who are striving to restore the rule of law, extremist terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 18 June, 2024 at 6:00 AM, security personnel received a report of an explosion that occurred in Tin Ngoke Gyi village, Kantbalu Township of Sagaing Region. When the security personnel arrived there for further investigation, they discovered that U Myo Lwin (51 years old), a resident of the village accidentally hit an improvised mine planted by so-called PDF terrorists when he went to his farm on foot and arrived near the farm located one mile to the southeast of Tin Ngoke Gyi village. Due to the explosion, U Myo Lwin sustained shrapnel injuries and was sent to the Kantbalu District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it was reported.
Similarly, at 9:50 AM, security personnel received a report of an explosion that occurred in Taw Hmaw village, Hpakant Township of Kachin State. When the security personnel arrived there for further investigation, they discovered that U Maung Than (58 years old), a resident of the village accidentally hit an improvised mine planted by so-called PDF terrorists on 17 June at 10:00 AM, when he went to his farm and arrived near the farm located one mile to the west of the village. Due to the explosion, U Myo Lwin died on the spot with shrapnel injuries, it was reported.
Likewise, at 1:30 PM, security personnel received a report of an explosion that occurred in Shatpon village, Pulaw Township of Tanintharyi Region. When the security personnel arrived and investigated the case, they discovered that U Cho (59 years old), a resident of the village accidentally hit an improvised mine planted by so-called PDF terrorists while he was cutting firewood in the forest to the west of the Wardan Monastery of the village. As a result, he sustained injuries from the explosion and was sent to Pulaw Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it was reported.
It is reported that the security personnel are taking measures to identify the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the aforementioned incident to take effective action against them in accordance with the law.
