Terrorists carried out inhumane acts using explosive devices by capitalizing on unguarded moments of security personnel

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 9 January at 09:40 AM, a report stated that an explosion occurred near Pha-aoun Village in Nyaunglaypin Township, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Ko Min Depa Kyaw (22 years old) and Mg Aung Htut Khaung (17 years old), who both live in Myoma (2) Ward of Nyaunglaypin Township, were travelling on two motorcycles from Nyaunglaypin Town to Daik-U Town. Upon reaching the Yangon-Mandalay Road at mile posts 81/0, two mines, planted by a terrorist group (under investigation), which exploded within the grass on the right side of the road. As a result, they sustained injuries from mine shrapnel and were transported to Nyaunglaypin Township Public Hospital for medical care, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 01:15 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred in Sanboung Ward of Matupi Township, Chin State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Thang Luai (66 years old), who lives in this Ward, was clearing the branches near a roadside lake along the Matupi-Paletwa road when he stepped on a landmine planted by a so-called CDF terrorist group, exploded. As a result, U Thang Luai sustained injuries from mine shrapnel and was transported to Matupi Township Public Hospital for medical care, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 04:30 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred near Tonesint Village of Hsipaw Township, Northern Shan State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Joseph (63 years old), who lived in this village, was walking home to an upland field when he reached the outskirts and stepped on an improvised mine planted by a terrorist group, exploded. As a result, U Joseph sustained injuries from mine shrapnel and was transported to Hsipaw Township Public Hospital for medical care, it is reported.
     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the offenders of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
