Terrorists carried out inhumane acts using explosive devices by capitalizing on unguarded moments of security personnel

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 13 July, 2024 at 9:20 AM, security personnel received a report of an explosion in Ye Kyaw Gyi Village, Kawkareik Township, Kayin State. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that U Khun Aung Aung (41 years old) and a resident of the village, was heading to an upland field on the outskirts of the village. Upon reaching near the field, he stepped on an explosive device planted by a terrorist group, causing it to explode. As a result, U Khun Aung Aung sustained injuries from the shrapnel and was transported to No. (2) Military Hospital (100-bedded) in Taungkalay Township for medical treatment, it is reported.
     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
