In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices, and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 10 January at 12:00 PM, a report stated that a male with injuries from a mine explosion had arrived at the Township Public Hospital in Shwegyin Town, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Win Zaw Moe (35 years old), who lives in Yaeayemyaung Village of Shwegyin Township, sustained a broken right sole injury. The incident was verified that on the same day around 09:00 AM, U Win Zaw Moe was cutting broomsticks in a forest located approximately one mile east of the village. Unfortunately, he inadvertently stepped on a landmine planted by terrorists, which exploded, causing the aforementioned injury, it is reported.
Similarly, at 03:40 PM, a report stated that a male with injuries from a mine explosion had arrived at the Township Public Hospital in Myaing Town, Magway Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Ko Than Naing Oo (21 years old), who lives in No. (3) Ward in Myaing Town, had crushed his left heel and sustained wounds to his right elbow and right calf. The incident was verified that on the same day around 02:00 PM, Ko Than Naing Oo was leaving home alone on his motorcycle to Wetkyone Village for shopping. When he arrived at the junction near Wetkyone Village, his motorcycle leave on a landmine planted by so-called PDF terrorists, exploding on the road. As a result, Ko Than Naing Oo sustained the aforementioned injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 04:00 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred at the “Boss KTV” located in Yemontaung Ward of Maharaungmyae Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that two terrorists (under investigation) riding a motorcycle from north to south along 59th Road threw an improvised bomb into the “Boss KTV”. The bomb exploded within the “Boss KTV” compound. As a result, an employee, Ko Aung Zay Ya (19 years old), sustained an injury from bomb shrapnel to his left leg and was transported to the “Myat Wai Hlyan” private hospital for medical care, it is reported.
Similarly, at 05:30 PM, a report stated that a male with injuries from a mine explosion had arrived at the Public Hospital (1000 bedded) in Zabu Thiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Mg Kaung Chit (16 years old), who lives in Ahkyetinn Village of Phyu Township, Bago Region, had severed his left ankle and sustained injuries from mine shrapnel to the right back of his hand and right thigh. The incident was verified that on the same day around 10:00 AM, Mg Kaung Chit was leaving home for his field to spray pesticide when he stepped on a landmine planted by so-called PDF terrorists, which exploded. As a result, Mg Kaung Chit sustained the aforementioned injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
