Terrorists carried out inhumane acts using explosive devices by capitalizing on unguarded moments of security personnel

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 14 July, 2024 at 10:00 AM, security personnel received a report stating that a man with shrapnel injuries had arrived at the Township Public Hospital in Htilin Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that at 9:45 AM, on the same day, U Soe Win (39 years old) and a resident of No. (1) Ward in Htilin Township, was heading to a jungle to search for mushrooms. Upon reaching near Sa Khan Gyi public rest-house (locally known as such), he stepped on an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, causing it to explode. As a result, U Soe Win sustained injuries from these shrapnel, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 2:15 PM, security personnel received a report of a man and woman with shrapnel injuries had arrived at Mal Za Li Station Hospital in Pwintphyu Township. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that Ko Chan Ko Ko (29 years old) and his wife Ma Saw Lin (22 years old) both residents of Sel Daw Village in Pwintphyu Township, were returning on a motorcycle from Wun Village to their village. Upon reaching a jungle path near Yae Yin Village, an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, exploded. As a result, both sustained shrapnel injuries. Unfortunately, Ko Chan Ko Ko succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical treatment, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 6:15 PM, security personnel received a report of an explosion in Kan Phyu Village, Madaya Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that U Myo Myint (35 years old) and a resident of the village, was heading to the “Sein Yadana Tun” rice mill located to the east of the village for work. Upon reaching near the rice mill, he stepped on an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, causing it to explode. As a result, U Myo Myint sustained injuries from these shrapnel and was transported to Mandalay Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
