In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 24 July, 2024 at 10:00 AM, security personnel received a report of an explosion near Htan Kone Village in Kanbalu Township of Sagaing Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that U Bo Ni (aka) U Maung Ni (68 years old), a resident of the village, was injured in the explosion. According to reports, when he left home to herd cows and reached an area of a jungle approximately one mile northeast of the village, he accidentally triggered an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, which caused the device to explode. As a result, U Bo Ni (aka) U Maung Ni suffered shrapnel wounds and was transported to Kambalu Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 11:35 AM, security personnel received a report stating that a man with shrapnel injuries had arrived at the Township Public Hospital located in Myaing Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Thein Tan (58 years old), a resident of No.(3) Ward in Myaing Township. The victim left his home for Ta Lin Yar Village on his motorbike. When he arrived near Ta Lin Yar Village, an explosive decive planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group exploded, inflicting injuries upon the victim, it is reported.
Similarly, at 12:30 PM, security personnel received a report of an explosion in Si Tee Ward, Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the explosion had been caused by two explosive devices near the “Happy Life” water playgrounds, planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group. As a result, Ma Au Pyae Nandar (three years old) from Ywar Thit Gyi Village who was passing by the incident at the time, died on the spot. Additionally, several others sustained injuries due to explosion, including U Than Lwin (50 years old) and Ma Aimt Kyi Phyu Han (five years old), both from Ywar Htaung Ward, along with Ko Soe Than Aung (25 years old) and Ma Khin Cho Myint (27 years old), both from Ywar Thit Gyi Village, who were also passing by at the time of incident. The deceased and injured individuals were transported to Sagaing District Public Hospital for examination and medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
