In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 30 August, 2024 at 5:05 PM, security personnel received a report stating that a woman with shrapnel injuries had arrived at Thanpyuzayat Township Public Hospital in Mon State. When security personnel promptly arrived at the Hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that the injured woman was Daw Nge Nge Htway (32 years old), a resident of Ye Tagun Village in Thanbyuzayat Township. She had accidently stepped on an explosive device located approximately 100 meters southeast of the Sat Yaung Monastery in the village. The device, planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, exploded while she was searching for fruits, resulting in her injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 10:40 PM, security personnel received a report stating that a man with shrapnel injuries had arrived at Thanpyuzayat Township Public Hospital. When security personnel promptly arrived at the Hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that the injured man was Ko Kyaw Htut Khaung (aka) Kyaw Htut (26 years old), a resident of Pa Nga Village in Thanbyuzayat Township. He had accidently stepped on an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group while clearing grass in a rubber plantation near Kone Myint Thar Yar Village in Thanbyuzayat Township. The device exploded, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
