In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 8 October, 2024 at 8:10 AM, a report stated that an explosion occurred near Mone Village in Kyaukgyi Township of Bago Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that when Daw San Htay (45 years old), U Hla Myint (64 years old), U Soe Hlaing (54 years old) and U Win Than (aka) Maung Mal (35 years old), all residents of the village, were farming in a peanut field near the village cemetery, approximately one furlong west of the village, four explosive devices planted by a group of KNU, who support terrorism, and so-called PDF terrorists, exploded. As a result, they sustained shrapnel injuries. U Soe Hlaing and U Win Than (aka) Maung Mal were transported to Phyu Township Public Hospital, while Daw San Htay and U Hla Myint were transported to Taungoo District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 10:45 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries had arrived at Nyaunglebin Township Public Hospital. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Khin Maung Yi (60 years old), a resident of Taw Wi Village in Nyaunglebin Township. He had accidently stepped on an explosive device planted by a group of KNU, who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists near Tawa Gu Monastery while picking watergrass, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
