In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 16 January around 1:00 PM, Daw Cho Cho Win (37 years old), who lives in Ingyinsu Village of Kambalu Township, Sagaing Region, was getting back from the field located approximately five furlongs north of the village, to home alone on foot through a jungle lane. Unfortunately, she encountered an improvised mine planted by so-called PDF terrorists, which exploded on the roadside. As a result, Daw Cho Cho Win sustained two injuries from mine shrapnel on her left leg. She is currently under medical care at Kambalu District Public Hospital, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the offenders of the acts of terrorism from the above incident in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
