Terrorists carried out inhumane acts using explosive devices by capitalizing on unguarded moments of security personnel

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 23 July, 2024 at 1:50 PM, security personnel received a report of five men with shrapnel injuries who had arrived at Shwebo Township Public Hospital in Sagaing Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that a coach operating on the Sinku-Kyaukmyaung-Shwebo-Sagaing-Mandalay route was travelling from Sinku Town to Mandalay City. When the coach was passing between Ta Ohn Village and Ohm Pauk Village in Shwebo Township, an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group exploded on the right side of the roadside. As a result, U Kyaw Tun Aung (41 years old), U Zaw Myint Oo (49 years old), U Tun Aung Zaw (39 years old), Ko Chan Lin Naung (23 years old) and Mg Thet Paing Oo (12 years old), all residents of Sinku Township and passengers on the coach, sustained shrapnel injuries, it is reported.
     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
