In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 21 January at 6:00 AM, a report stated that an explosion occurred near Thalone Village of Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Daw Mya Lin (63 years old) and her granddaughter, Ma Nay Chi Win (18 years old), who both live in this village, were travelling on a motorcycle from Thalone Village to Panyan Village along the Village Connected Road. When they reached the exist of Thalone Village, a landmine planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group exploded on the left side of the road. As a result, they both sustained injuries from mine shrapnel and were transported to Shwebo Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
