In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 22 January at 8:40 AM, while security personnel were conducting vehicle inspections near the mile posts 370/4 of Yangon-Mandalay Highway (old route), located at the intersection of the city bypass road in Pyipan Village of Kyaukse Township, an improvised bomb was thrown from a vehicle (under investigation) travelling from south to north along the Yangon-Mandalay Highway Road before fleeing the scene. The bomb exploded on the road, resulting in injuries to U Tin Soe (56 years old), who lives in Thapyaywun Village of Kyaukse Township, who was passing on a motorcycle at that moment, sustained three injuries from mine shrapnel to his right temple, abdomen and right hand. Security personnel promptly transported U Tin Soe to Kyaukse District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 7:15 PM, a report stated that a male with injuries from mine shrapnel had arrived at the Township Public Hospital in Myitkyinar, Kachin State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Zaw Lwun (53 years old), who lives in Magaungtaung Village of Hpakant Township, had sustained two injuries from mine shrapnel to his left thigh. The incident was verified that on the same day, around 11:00 AM, as he was riding alone on his motorcycle to Karmine Town for shopping. When he reached the exist road of Lawar Village, his motorcycle triggered a landmine planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in the aforementioned injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
