In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 3 February at 11:30 AM, a report stated that two women who sustained injuries from mine shrapnel arrived at the District Public Hospital in Kanbalu Town. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Ma Ohm Mar (20 years old) sustained injuries from mine shrapnel to her right heel, and Ma Mi Tin (28 years old) sustained injuries from mine shrapnel to her left keen. Both are residents of Gartar Village of Kanbalu Township. The incident was verified that on the same day at around 8:00 AM, they were walking through a jungle path to a field south of Gartar Village to cut pigeon peas, when an improvised mine planted by so-called PDF terrorists, exploded, injuring them as described, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
