Terrorists carried out inhumane acts using explosive devices by capitalizing on unguarded moments of security personnel

In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 12 February at 9:00 AM, U Nyi Lay Tun (45 years old), who lives in Zahar Village of Dawei Township, Tanintharyi Region, was headed towards the edge of a nearby forest to pick vegetables when he accidentally stepped on a landmine planted by so-called PDF terrorists, exploded. As a result, U Nyi Lay Tun sustained injuries from mine shrapnel and was transported to Dawei Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 11:20 AM, a report stated that a man with injuries from a landmine explosion arrived at Mandalay Public Hospital. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During their probe, they discovered that on 11 February at 2:20 PM, U Tin Tun (63 years old), who lives in Suewin Village of Myaing Township, Magway Region, was riding his motorcycle back from Pakokku Town to Suewin Village when he arrived near Kanbu Village, a landmine planted by a terrorist group (under investigation), exploded on the roadside. As a result, U Tin Tun sustained injuries from mine shrapnel, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
