In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 21 February at 6:30 AM, a report stated that an explosion had occurred on the roadside of Thirimingalar road in No. (5) Ward of Shwepyitha Township, Yangon Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that an explosive device, made with PVC pipe and planted by a terrorist group, had exploded at the site. As a result, Ko Aung Moe Tun (21 years old), a resident of No. (5) Ward, who was passing by at that time, was injured and transported to North Okkalapa Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
