In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 29 February at 12:00 PM, U Kyaw Tun (38 years old) who lives in Nanttharkying Village of Ye-U Township, Sagaing Region, was travelling in a white MDY-2N/xxxx vehicle from Ye-U Town to Shwebo Town along the Shwebo-Oakshitkan-Ye-U Road. When he was near Oakshitkan Village, an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group detonated on the roadside. As a result, U Kyaw Tun sustained injuries from shrapnel and was transported to Shwebo District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
