In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 30 December at 08:30 AM, U Aung Nyunt, the guard of Thanakha farm, who lives in this farm near Ooyinma Village of Myaing Township, Magway Region, was riding his bicycle alone toward the house of U Thein Tan, the owner of Thanakha farm, along the Pathein-Monywa road. When he closed to the intersection of the Pathein-Monywa road and Myaing-Pakokku road an improvised mine, planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, exploded. As a result, U Aung Nyunt suffered a fracture in his left calf bone due to mine shrapnel and was transported to Pakokku District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 10:00 AM, a report stated that an explosion occurred in Khuntaunggyi Village of Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Tun Min Hlaing (45 years old), who lives in this village, was working in a field located approximately four furlongs east of Khuntaunggyi village when an improvised mine, planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, exploded. As a result, U Tun Min Hlaing sustained injuries from mine shrapnel and was transported to Shwebo Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
