Terrorists carried out inhumane acts using explosive devices by capitalizing on unguarded moments of security personnel

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 7 March at 12:50 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred near a monastery in Kyaukgyi Village, Shwegu Township, Kachin State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that an explosive device, planted by a group of KIA armed insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists, exploded outside the monastery’s brick fence. As a result, two young novices, Shin Nandiya (12 years old) and Shin Thiha Nyarna (11 years old), who were near the incident at the time, sustained shrapnel injuries. They were transported to Shwegu Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 6:40 PM, U Thang Ki (68 years old), who lives in Khwarbway Ward in Matupi Town, Matupi Township, Chin State, was leaving home for the forest to cut firewood. As he arrived in front of a nurse’s hostel in the ward, he stepped on an explosive device planted a terrorist group, which then exploded. As a result, U Thang Ki sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to Matupi Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Similarly, on 8 March at 7:20 AM, a report stated that an explosion occurred at the “ATA” local grocery store in Wainkyauk Ward, Tachileik Township, Eastern Shan State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that two employees of the store, Ma Saung Aye-M (17 years old) and Daw Mee Shu (56 years old), were opening the front door of the store when an explosive device, concealed inside a cloth-wrapped package attached to the door, detonated. As a result, they sustained shrapnel injuries and were transported to Tachileik District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
