In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 12 March at 7:30 AM, a report stated that an explosion occurred No. (1) Ward in Salingyi Township, Sagaing Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that two young novices from Nirvan Monastery in the village; Shin Wizarta (aka) Wai Phyo Naing (10 years old), and Shin Tawunta (aka) Swan Pyae Naing (11 years old), were on their way to accept offerings of food within the ward when they stepped on an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorists, causing it to detonate. As a result, they sustained injuries from shrapnel and was transported to Mandalay Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 5:10 PM, a report stated that a man with mine shrapnel injuries arrived at Mandalay Public Hospital in Haymarzala Ward, Chanayetharzan Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that on 11 March at 11:30 AM, Ko Chit Thal (23 years old), who lives in Chipa Village, Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region, was travelling in a vehicle from Shwebo Town to Mandalay City. As he approached Seikkhon Village, an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorists, exploded on the right side of the road. As a result, Ko Chit Thal sustained injuries from shrapnel, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
