In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices, and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 15 March at 1:30 PM, U Soe Naing (56 years old), who lives in Kanyinmying Village, Mogaung Township, Kachin State, was leaving his home to search for his buffaloes. As he neared a field west of the village, he stepped on an explosive device planted by a group of KIA armed insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists, causing it to detonate. As a result, U Soe Naing sustained injuries from shrapnel and was transported to Mogaung Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 1:50 PM, a report stated that a man with mine shrapnel injuries arrived at Mandalay Public Hospital in Haymarzala Ward, Chanayetharzan Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that on 14 Marchat 9:00 AM, Ko Zay Yar Min (29 years old), who lives in Kyawlkhotaw Village, Sagaing Region, was travelling in a Hijet vehicle (License Plate No. MDY-13 3P/XXXX) from Salingyi Town to Mandalay City. As he approached Khinpon Village in Chaung-U Township, an explosive device planted a terrorist group, exploded on the roadside. As a result, Ko Zay Yar Min sustained shrapnel injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 3:45 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred in Winkhanain Village, Shwekyin Township, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Myo Zay Yar Lin (aka) Phoe Par (49 years old), who lives in the village, was hosting his grandmother’s funeral on his rubber farm when a remote explosive device, planted near the funeral site by a group of KNU members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists, detonated. As a result, U Nay Lin Oo (45 years old), U Phyo Yan Kyaw (34 years old), U Thurain (36 years old), U Kyaw Myo Win (39 years old), U Kyaw Min Aung (43 years old), U Kyaw Lin Soe (40 years old), Mg Zawl Myat Ko Ko (11 years old), Ko Chit San (27 years old), Daw Mi Nge (45 years old), Daw Khin Wah Wah Myint (42 years old), Daw Khin Mon Soe (40 years old), Ma Su Hlaing Hnin (27 years old), and Ma Chal Phaw (28 years old), all of whom were working at the funeral to assist, sustained injuries from shrapnel. They were promptly transported to the Bago Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
