In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 21 March at 1:30 PM, a report stated that two men with mine shrapnel injuries arrived at Nyaunglebin Township Public Hospital in Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Ko Nyi Nyi Chit (22 years old), who lives in Karlukone Village, Kyauktaga Township, and U Saw Kyi Say (38 years old), who lives in Shwejoetpin Village, were travelling in a Forland vehicle (License Plate No. 7N/XXXX) from Shwegyin Town to Nyaunglebin Town. As the vehicle neared Innwine Village in Nyaunglebin Township, an explosive device, planted by a group of KNU members who support terrorism along with the so-called PDF terrorists, exploded. As a result, Ko Nyi Nyi Chit and U Saw Kyi Say sustained injuries from shrapnel, it is reported.
Similarly, at 8:45 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred in front of the Ward Administrator’s Office in Narkhar Ward in Mohnyin Township, Kachin State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that an explosive device, planted by a group of KIA armed insurgents and the so-called PDF terrorists, exploded at the incident site. As a result, the area approximately one foot around the door in front of the office sustained damage, but fortunately, there were no injuries to people, it is reported.
