In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 22 March at 11:20 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries from a mine arrived at Nyaunglebin Township Public Hospital in Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Ko Ko Aung (32 years old), who lives in No. (3) Myoma Ward, Nyaunglebin Township, was en route to Pazunmyaung Village on his motorcycle. As he approached the entrance of Pazunmyaung Village, an explosive device, planted by a group of KNU members who support terrorism along with the so-called PDF terrorists, exploded at the roadside. As a result, U Ko Ko Aung sustained injuries from shrapnel, it is reported.
Similarly, at 7:20 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries from a mine was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Haymarzala Ward, Chanayetharzan Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Aung Kyaw Tun (42 years old), who lives in Maunkone Village, Htigyaing Township, Sagaing Region, was riding his motorcycle to the “Wilmer” Sugar Mill, located approximately one and a half miles south of Maunkone Village. As he approached the industry, an explosive device, planted by a so-called PDF terrorists, exploded at the roadside. As a result, U Aung Kyaw Tun sustained injuries from shrapnel, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
