In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 27 March at 9:50 AM, a report stated that an explosion occurred at a rubber plantation near Ayechanmyaing Village, Bokepyin Township, Tanintharyi Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Tun Khine (39 years old) and his wife, Daw Thin Thin Nway (aka) Nway Nge (39 years old), who both live in the village, were working inside the rubber plantation, when they accidentally stepped on an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, causing it to detonate. As a result, they sustained injuries from shrapnel and were transported to the No. (18) Military Hospital (100 bedded) in Bokepyin Township, for medical treatment. Unfortunately, Daw Thin Thin Nway (aka) Nway Nge died from her injuries while undergoing treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 7:30 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred near the “Taw Wun” pedestrian overpass, located at the corner of Sule Pagoda Road and Anawyahtar Road in No. (1) Ward, Kyauktada Township, Yangon Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that an explosive device, planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, exploded at the incident site. As a result, Mg San Jay Par (11 years old), Mg Phoe Thauk Kyar (16 years old), Mg Phyo Htet Paing (14 years old), Mg Phoe La Pyae (11 years old), and Mg Kyaw Kyaw (14 years old), who were all near the incident site at the time, sustained injuries from shrapnel. They were transported to Yangon Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 10:30 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred at milepost 132/1 on the Mawlamyine-Yangon road, near Kamarsai Village, Thaton Township, Mon State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Ko Sai Maung Maung (29 years old), a member of the Ahkyinnartwallat Social Assistance Association in Thaton Town, residing in Nankhal Ward, Thaton Town, and Ko Min Khant (20 years old) from in Lateinn Ward, along with four other individuals including Ko Aung Sat Paing (27 years old) from Kyaikkaw Ward, Thuwunawadi Town, were travelling to Yangon City in an ALPHARD vehicle (License Plate No. MON-24 4J/XXXX), owned by the Social Assistance Association along the Mawlamyine-Yangon Road. As the vehicle approached the incident site, an explosive device, planted by a group of the KNU members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists, exploded. As a result, Ko Sai Maung Maung and Ko Aung Sat Paing, among those in the vehicle sustained injuries from shrapnel. They were transported to Thaton Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
