In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 30 March at 3:50 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred at a garbage dump near the “Kyat Chan Pauk” bus stop, located near mileposts 36/6 on the Yangon-Pyay Road in Kalarkone Village, Hmawbi Township, Yangon Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that an explosive device, planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, had exploded at the incident site. As a result, Daw Kyi Kyi Myint (60 years old), her granddaughters, Ma Khin Yadanar Thwun (nine years old) and Ma Thet Mon Oo (12 years old), who all lived in the village and were present at the incident site at the time, died from shrapnel injuries. Additionally, U Moe Lin (35 years old), who was sitting in the “Valentine” restaurant located across the road from the incident site at the time, sustained injuries from shrapnel. The deceased and injured were transported to No.(1) Military Hospital (1000 bedded) in Mangalardon Township for examination and medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
