In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 1 April at 9:00 AM, a report stated that an explosion occurred in No. (3) Ward, Pakokku Township, Magway Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that an explosive device, planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, had exploded in front of the Township Immigration and National Registration Department Office. As a result, Daw Nay Yi (39 years old), who lives in No. (6) Ward and was arriving at the office to apply for a national identity card at the time, sustained injuries from shrapnel was transported to Pakokku Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
