In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 17 April, 2024 at 8:10 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred in Tharyaraye Village, Amarapura Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that three so-called PDF terrorists, riding a motorcycle, threw two explosive devices into the yard of U Yu Kyaing (57 years old), a village elder responsible for 100 households, who lives in the village, before fleeing. The devices exploded within the yard. As a result, Daw Mal Phyu (53 years old), Daw Mar Htay (53 years old), Ma Eaint Wah Sar (22 years old), U Htay Lwin (51 years old), Ko Kyal Min (21 years old), Mg Wai Yi Shine (17 years old), Ko La Min (21 years old) and Ko Tayotegyi (aka) Arkar Min (28 years old), who were all present in the yard at the time, sustained injuries from shrapnel. They were transported to Mandalay Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
