In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices, and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 29 April, 2024 at 8:45 AM, a report stated that a man’s dead body and another injured individual arrived at Htilin Township Public Hospital in Magway Region due to mine shrapnel injuries. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was determined that the victims were U Aung Tin Moe (56 years old) and U Kyar Htoo Maung (32 years old) from No. (1) Ward. They were en route to a forest near Htilin Town to cut bamboo when an explosive device, planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, exploded. As a result, U Aung Tin Moe died from shrapnel wounds, while U Kyar Htoo Maung sustained injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 11:10 AM, a report stated that a woman with mine shrapnel injuries arrived at the Banyin Circuit Hospital in Hsihseng Township, Southern Shan State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Ko Khun Tun Win (24 years old) and his wife, Ma Nan Char Kyi (21 years old) residents of Maebaung Village, were travelling on a motorcycle to Kaungwainenge Village along the village commuter road. As they approached Naungpat Village, their motorcycle triggered an explosive device, planted by a terrorist group, causing it to explode. As a result, Ma Nan Char Kyi sustained injuries from shrapnel, while, fortunately, Ko Khun Tun Win was unharmed, it is reported.
Similarly, at 3:30 PM, a report stated that a man with mine shrapnel injuries arrived at the Palnwekone Circuit Hospital in Kyauktaga Township, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Myo Myint Khine (46 years old) a resident of Latpankone Village, was returning home from the village monastery. As he approached the door to his yard, an explosive device, planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, exploded. As a result, he sustained injuries from shrapnel, it is reported.
Similarly, at 3:40 PM, a report stated that a man with mine shrapnel injuries arrived at Kyaukme Township Public Hospital in Northern Shan State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Mg Sai Soe Myint (15 years old) who lives in Taguntie Village, was heading to a forest near Khoyaung Village to shot birds when he stepped on an explosive device, planted by a terrorist group, causing it to explode. As a result, he sustained injuries from shrapnel, it is reported.
Similarly, at 8:20 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred in No. (4) Ward, Labutta Township, Ayeyarwady Region. Security personnel conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that a terrorist group had thrown a grenade at the house of Ward Administrator U Thet Naing (aka) U Thet Naing Oo (54 years old) who lives in the ward, and then fled the scene. The grenade exploded in front of the house, damaging a clay pot, a wooden pole and galvanized roof. Fortunately, there were no injuries to people, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
