Terrorists carried out inhumane acts using explosive devices by capitalizing on unguarded moments of security personnel

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 3 January at 09:45 AM, a report stated that an explosion occurred in Nilar Ward of Sagaing Township, Sagaing Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that an improvised mine, planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, exploded within the garbage vicinity near the “U Pyar” Bean Separator Factory in this Ward. As a result, U Aung Aung (45 years old), his daughter-in-law Ma Thin Thin Hla (32 years old), his granddaughter Ma Shine Warso (three years old) and grandson Mg Zay Yar Lin (seven years old), who all live in Nilar Ward and, sustained injuries form mine shrapnel while collecting bottles in the garbage area. Unfortunately, Mg Zay Yar Lin was dead from his injuries while en route to Sagaing Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 03:20 PM, a report stated that a male with mine shrapnel injuries arrived at Lashio Township Public Hospital in No. (1) Ward of Lashio Township, Northern Shan State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Ko Aung Soe Win (25 years old), who lives in No. (1) Ward of Mantong Township, was en route from his home to Namtu Town when he arrived near Namtu Town, he stepped on a landmine, planted by a terrorist group (under investigation), exploded. As a result, Ko Aung Soe Win sustained injuries from mine shrapnel, it is reported.
     Likewise, at 08:00 PM, a report stated that a male with mine shrapnel injuries arrived at Kyatpyin Circuit Hospital in Kyatpyin Village of Mogok Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Ko Yaw Shu (29 years old), who lives in Laloo Ward of Mogok Township, was riding his motorcycle to gather Rhododendron flowers on Zaletni mountain, located in Painpyit Village, when he arrived the mountain’s base, his motorcycle triggered an improvised mine, planted by a terrorist group (under investigation), exploded. As a result, Ko Yaw Shu sustained injuries form mine shrapnel, it is reported.
     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
