Terrorists carried out inhumane acts using explosive devices by capitalizing on unguarded moments of security personnel

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 7 May, 2024 at 8:30 AM, a report stated that an explosive occurred in Myoma Ward, Depayin Township, Sagaing Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Ohn Maung (67 years old), a part time cleaning employee from the Municipal Development Committee, who lives in Taung Pyin Ward in Depayin Township, was working next to the Shwebo - Ye-U Road when an explosive device, planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, exploded. As a result, he sustained injuries from shrapnel and was transported to a temporary hospital set up at the Basic Education High School in Depayin Town for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 12:30 PM, a report stated that an explosive occurred in No. (91) Ward, Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Township, Yangon Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that the explosion was caused by an explosive device, planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group. The device was located in front of the Township Law Office and near the corner of Bago River Road and Zalon River (3) Street within the ward. As a result, U Win Tin (65 years old), who was near the scene at the time, sustained injuries from shrapnel. Additionally, a lead-colored LANDCRUISER PRADO (License Plate No. YGN-40 2N/XXXX), which was passing by at the time, sustained significant damage from the explosion. The injured individual was transported to Thingangyun Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
