Terrorists carried out inhumane acts using explosive devices by capitalizing on unguarded moments of security personnel

In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 12 May, 2024, at 12:10 PM, a report stated that a woman with injuries from mine shrapnel was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Hay Mar Zala Ward, Mandalay Region. Security personnel quickly responded and conducted a thorough investigation at the hospital. During the investigation, it was discovered that the victim was identified as Daw Thi Thi Win (38 years old), a resident of Khun Taung Nge Village, Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region. She was walking solely to a farm east of her village. As she approached the farm, an explosive device planted by a terrorist group, exploded at the roadside. The explosion caused her to sustain shrapnel injuries, it is reported.
