In order to cause injuries to both peaceable individuals and administrative authorities who are working to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, departmental offices, and residential houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 24 September at 02:00 PM, U Chain Kyi Hwa (43 years old) who lives in Nantphatkar Village of Kutkai Township in Northern Shan State was searching for firewood in a forest located at the base of Byone Mountain (locally known as) near the Village, when he stepped on a mine laid by an insurgent group (under scrutiny) which exploded. As a result of the explosion, his left calf was severed and he sustained injuries from mine shrapnel to his right leg. He was transferred from the Nantphatkar Circuit Hospital to a Military Hospital, it is reported.
Likewise, on 25 September at 06:15 AM, an explosion was heard near a nomad market in front of the Township Development Committee office located in Gantgawwine Ward of Shwekyin Town in Bago Region. Security personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. Upon inspection, it is found that a remote mine planted by a terrorist (under scrutiny) had exploded on the roadside slop of Kyaunggyi Road near the market. As a result of the explosion, Daw Mya Khat (52 years old), who lives in this was and who was selling goods at the market, sustained an injury from mine shrapnel to her abdomen. Additionally, an 11 KV wire and two 400 Volt wires (valued at approximately 300,000 MMK) from an electric pole near the incident were damaged, it is reported.
Similarly, at 07:00 AM, a male terrorist accompanied by a female terrorist were riding a motorcycle from south to north along 81st Road, and the female threw a grenade at the “TEL” private High School located in 81st Road between 38th and 39th Streets in Mahaaungmye Township of Mandalay Region. The grenade fell and detonated in front of the school. As a result of the explosion, Ko Kyaw Zin Thet (21 years old), who lives in East Ward of Mahaaungmye Township and happened to be near the incident, sustained an injury from bomb shrapnel to his left waist. Additionally, the left window (valued at approximately 100,000 MMK) of a Toyota Liteace motor vehicle parked on the Road was shattered, it is reported.
Furthermore, at 07:20 AM, three male terrorists and a female who were riding two motorcycles from south to north along 84th Street, threw two grenades at the “Mahar” Private High School located between 84th and 85th Streets in Tampawadi Ward of Chanmytharzi Township, and fled towards 85th Street. The grenades fell near the flagstaff pole in front of the school but did not explode. Security personnel went to the scene and systematically detonated and cleared the grenades, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
