In order to cause injuries to both peaceable individuals and administrative authorities who are working to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, departmental offices, and residential houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 28 September at 09:00 AM, a MGY 6I/xxxx WISH vehicle, driven by U Yan Naing Swe (32 years old), who lives in Sithar (Sardaung) Village in Yaesagyo Township, Magway Region, was accompanied by his parents U Thaung Swe (76 years old) and Daw Myint Myint Than, who both live in Pakhangyi Village. They were travelling from Pakhangyi Village to Pakokka Town along the Pakokka-Yaesagyo Road for a medical check-up for his father in a clinic. When they arrived near the Pakokku Airfield located in Pantaichone Village, a homemade mine planted by so-called PDF terrorists exploded on the right side of the road. As a result of the explosion, U Thaung Swe and U Yan Naing Swe sustained injuries from mine shrapnel. Furthermore, the right body and the windshields of the WISH vehicle were damaged by explosion. Security personnel transported injured individuals to the Pakokku District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 04:15 PM, according to the report that an explosion occurred within the compound of the Basic Education Primary School located in Kyaungkone Village of Yaedashe Township, Bago Region, personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. According to the investigation, it is found that a homemade mine planted by a terrorist (under scrutiny) had exploded inside a garbage can near the student rest-rooms behind the classrooms within the school compound. As a result of the explosion, there were no injuries or damage to students or buildings, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with laws.
