In order to cause injuries to both peaceable individuals and administrative authorities who are working to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, departmental offices, and residential houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 15 October at 08:10 AM, so-called PDF terrorists detonated a homemade mine, by placing in a basket in front of the Township Revenue Department located between “Kaung Mon” bakery and Myoma park in west Ward of Pwintphyu Town in Magway Region. As a result of the explosion, Daw Zarchi Nwe (aka) Ma Kayin Ma (36 years old) and her son Mg Aung Kaung Myat (4 years old), who both were passing by the scene, sustained injuries from mine shrapnel to their heads, foreheads and necks. They were transported to the Pwintphyu Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, homemade mines were exploded respectively near the electric transformer in front of the Township Electric office at 08:05 AM and near a pond within the Township Public Hospital compound in Thattawshay Ward at 08:25 AM. Fortunately, there were no injuries or damage to people or buildings, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
