In order to cause injuries to both peaceable individuals and administrative authorities who are working to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, departmental offices, and residential houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 20 October at 05:20 PM, a report indicated that two females, who were injured by mine shrapnel, had arrived at the Township Public Hospital in Wetlet Town, Sagaing Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the inspection, it was discovered that Daw Aye Nwe (49 years old) and her granddaughter, Ma Thae Thae Oo (nine years old), both residents of Phowintet Village in Wetlet Township, had sustained injuries from mine shrapnel. The incident was verified; they were travelling on a motorcycle to Daw Aye Nwe's parent's home in Ywathargyi Village. When they reached near Lainpin Village at 4:45 PM, a homemade mine planted by so-called PDF terrorists exploded on the left side of the road, causing them to sustain the aforementioned injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incident in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
