Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, On 23 October at 6:15 AM, according to the report, an explosion occurred in Kamarsai Village of Thaton Township in Mon State. Security personnel arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. Upon inspection, it was found that U Wunna Kyaw (43 years old), who lives in Bogale Town of Ayeyawady Region, was travelling in a white AYY-15-2M/xxxx Light Truck motor vehicle with his wife, Daw Htet Htet Aung (30 years old), from Bilin Town to Thaton Town along the Yangon-Mawlamyine Road. When they reached the milepost between 32/5 and 32/6, a mine planted by KNU members, who support terrorism, and a so-called PDF terrorist group, exploded. As a result of the explosion, the front glass, left door, and roof of the vehicle were damaged. Additionally, U Wunna Kyaw sustained two injuries from mine shrapnel to his left jaw and neck while Ma Htet Htet Aung sustained a swollen injury to the top of her head. They were transported to the Thaton District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 1:40 PM, according to the report, an explosion occurred in Daweizay Ward of Sagaing Township in Sagaing Region. Security personnel arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. The inspection revealed that U Tun Naing Win (50 years old), who lives in this ward, and his wife, Daw Ohnmar Htway (50 years old), were returning home on a motorcycle from downtown Sagaing Town. When they reached in front of their home, they discovered a plastic basket containing cobra saffron flowers and Eugenia flowers. As Daw Ohnmar Htway removed the basket, the motorcycle was stopped, and a homemade mine planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group exploded. As a result of the explosion, Daw Ohnmar Htway’s face was lacerated, her right fingers were crushed, her right leg was severed above the knee, and her left calf was crushed. Additionally, U Tun Naing Win sustained injuries from mine shrapnel on the right half of his body, extending from his right cheek to his leg. They were transported to Sagaing Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
