In order to cause injuries to both peaceable individuals and administrative authorities who are working to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, departmental offices, and residential houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 25 October at 09:00 AM, according to the report that an explosion occurred near Phaungtaw Village of Myitthar Town in Dawei Township, Tanintharyi Region, security personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. According to the investigation, it is found that U Thein Han (68 years old), who lives in this Village, was leaving to his orchard located near the village on foot for work. When he arrived at the junction of Kyaikphelan Village, he stepped on a homemade mine planted by a so-called PDF terrorists which exploded. As a result of the explosion, U Thein Han’s left ankle was severed and sustained injuries to his right calf from mine shrapnel. He was transported to the Dawei Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 09:15 AM, according to the report that an explosion occurred in Talinehtein Ward of Dawei Township, security personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. According to the investigation, it is found that a stun mine had exploded at the location where the Alm Bowl Floating festival was scheduled to take place near Kannar Road Park in this Ward. Additionally, security personnel discovered another homemade remote mine approximately two feet from the incident and systematically cleared it, it is reported.
Similarly, at 11:00 AM, U Aung Soe (48 years old) and his wife Daw Kaung, who both live in Kanni Village of Myaing Township, Magway Region, were leaving to their peanut field. When they reached on the Village Connected Road located approximately a mile east of Kanni Village, U Aung Soe stepped on a homemade mine planted by a so-called PDF terrorists which exploded. As a result, U Aung Soe was dead by severing his left calf, and sustaining mine shrapnel injuries; to his right calf, left hand and pubic area, it is reported.
Similarly, at 02:05 PM, according to the report that an explosion occurred at the southeast corner of Boeboegyi shrine located at the corner of 66th and 10th Streets in Oopotetaw Ward of Aungmyetharzan Township, Mandalay Region, security personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. According to the investigation, it is found that the explosion had occurred inside a garbage can owned by Mandalay City Deplopment Committee at the incident. As the result, U Thura Lin (40 years old) from the “Shwe Sel Thura Kyaw” snack shop located near the incident, sustained a laceration injury from mine shrapnel to his right thigh and was transported to the Mandalay Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
