In order to cause injuries to both peaceable individuals and administrative authorities who are working to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, departmental offices and residential houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 16 November at 11:15 AM, U Sai Laung (28 years old) and Daw Pant Haung (42 years old), who live in No. (1) Ward of Dotphoneyan Town in Momauk Township, Kachin State, were riding a motorcycle from Dotphoneyan Town to Lonjonyan Village in Momauk Township. When they arrived near Pankaungmu Village, a mine planted by KIA armed insurgents exploded. As a result, they sustained mine shrapnel injuries. Currently, they are receiving medical care at the Bhamo Township Public Hospital, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incident in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
