In order to cause injuries to both peaceable individuals and administrative authorities who are working to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, streets, railways, departmental offices, and residential houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 28 August at 11:40 AM, MDY-15/ GG-XXXX AD VAN vehicle, driven by U Tun Myint Thein, 60 years old, who lives in Nattaung Village of Sinku Township in Mandalay Region, was accompanied by Ko Nyein Chan Aung (under scrutiny), Ma Yu Yu, 21 years old, who lives in Pateswal Ward of Mogok Town and Ma Ar Sarmi, 25 years old, who lives in Hanlin Village of Mogok Township. They were travelling from Mogok to Mandalay along the Mandalay-Mogok Road. The vehicle was temporarily stopped on the roadside at milepost 49/6 of the Mandalay-Mogok Road located between Shwepyi Village and Tayawpin Village of Sinku Township when two homemade mines planted by so-called PDF terrorists exploded. As a result of the explosions, four individuals including U Tun Myint Thein sustained injuries from mineshrapnel. Security personnel transported all injured individuals to the Sinku Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 12:30 PM, U Win Soe, 43 years old, who lives in Nyaungpinsate Village of Kambalu Township and U Nyo Win, 55 years old, who lives in Chinmyitkyin Village, were working in a field located two miles east of Nyaungpinsate Village, when a homemade mine planted by so-called PDF terrorists exploded at the field’s boundary. As a result of the explosion, U Win Soe and U Nyo Win sustained injuries from mine shrapnel and were receiving medical treatment at the Shwebo Township Public Hospital, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with laws.
