Terrorists carried out terrorist acts using explosive devices by capitalizing on unguarded moments of security personnel

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable individuals and administrative authorities who are working to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, departmental offices and residential houses.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 28 November at 09:15 AM, according to the report that an explosion occurred near Bago Ward in Kyaukgyi Township, Bago Region, security personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. According to the investigation, it is found that U Aung Thu Htet (30 years old) and Ko Khant Thurain (19 years old), who both live in this Ward, was leaving home to collect firewood. While they were at the Binbyel Mountain (locally known as), Ko Aung Thu Htet inadvertently stepped on a land mine planted by a terrorists (under scrutiny) which exploded. As a result of the explosion, U Aung Thu Htet sustained injuries from the mine’s shrapnel and was transported to the Kyaukgyi Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 10:40 AM, according to the report that an explosion occurred in Northern Ward of Kyaikto Township, Mon State, security personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. According to the investigation, it is found that a KNU member who supports terrorism and a so-called PDF terrorist arrived on two motorcycles at the Department of Agriculture Land Management and Statistics Office. They threw a homemade bomb at the office before fleeing. The homemade bomb fell and exploded under the portico in front of the office. As a result of the explosion, U Nay Lin Oo (26 years old), a part-time staff member, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel and was transported to the Kyaikto Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
