In order to cause injuries to both peaceable individuals and administrative authorities who are working to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, departmental offices and residential houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 5 December at 02:05 PM, a report stated that a male with mine shrapnel injuries had arrived at the Public Hospital in Bhamo Town, Kachin State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the inspection, it was found that U Law Kwun (33 years old), who lives in Namtain Village of Momauk Township, had sustained severe injuries to his right fourth toe and little toe. The incident was verified to have occurred on 4 December at 05:00 PM, while U Law Kwun was walking toward his upland field located northwest of Namtain Village. When he stepped on a land mine, planted by terrorists, resulting in the aforementioned injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incident in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
