In order to cause injuries to both peaceable individuals and administrative authorities who are working to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, departmental offices, and residential houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 7 December at 07:15 PM, a report stated that a male with mine shrapnel had arrived at Mandalay Public Hospital. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the inspection, it was found that Ko Thein Zaw Aung (23 years old), who lives in Palhlawpho Village of Patheingyi Township, Mandalay Region, sustained an injury from mine shrapnel to his right hand. The incident was verified that while Ko Thein Zaw Aung was travelling as a vehicle helper in a 22-wheeled vehicle from Mogaung Town to Mandalay City, the vehicle approached Kyaukmyaung Town in Shwebo Township arround 03:00 PM on the same day. It was then that a homemade mine, planted by so-called PDF terrorists exploded on the roadside, causing Ko Thein Zaw Aung to sustain the aforementioned injury, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incident in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
