In order to cause injuries to both peaceable individuals and administrative authorities who are working to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, departmental offices and residential houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 9 December at 06:30 AM, a report stated that an explosion had occurred near Paykone (south) Village of Kambalu Township, Sagaing Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the inspection, it was found that U Chit Shwe (56 years old), who lives in this village, was working in his field at Chatnigyi jungle (locally known as) located approximately two miles northwest of Paykone (south) Village when a homemade mine, planted by a so-called PDF terrorists, exploded. As a result of the explosion, U Chit Shwe sustained injuries from mine shrapnel and was transported to the Kambalu Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 03:10 PM, a report stated that an explosion had occurred in the Shwehtuttin arena located in Tamwelay Ward of Tamwe Township, Yangon Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the inspection, it was found that a terrorist (under scrutiny) had thrown a homemade bomb outside of the arena’s fence, resulting in an explosion. As a result of the explosion, Ko Naing Min Than (21 years old), a security employee, who lives in No. (4) Ward of Pazuntaung Township, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel and was transported to the Thingangyun District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
