In order to cause injuries to both peaceable individuals and administrative authorities who are working to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, departmental offices, and residential houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 16 December at 03:30 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred near Spalnantthar Village of Kambalu Township, Sagaing Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the inspection, it was found that a white SGG-36 3K/XXXX Marcopolo (SCANIA) passenger vehicle, driven by Ko Maung Khine (aka) Ye Aung Khine (40 years old), who lives in No. (5) Ward of Shwebo Township, was carrying five male passengers and seven female passengers. As the vehicle approched the exit of Spalnantthar Village, a homemade mine planted by a so-called PDF terrorists exploded. As a result of the explosion, a front wheel, front window pane, a windshield and a windpipe of the vehicle were damaged. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the passengers, it is reported.
Likewise, on 17 December at 01:25 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred near Nyaungzin Village of Thayetchaung Township, Tanintharyi Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the inspection, it was found that U Than Htay (57 years old), who lives in Ahlalkone Village of Dawei Township, was returning home from Sonesinphyar Village of Thayetchaung Township. When he arrived near Nyaungzin Village, a homemade mine planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, which exploded. As a result of the explosion, U Than Htay sustained injuries from mine shrapnel and was transported to Dawei Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
