In order to cause casualties of peaceable people and administrative authorities who are working for restoring rule of law, extreme terrorists receiving financial assistance are carrying out destructive activities against public roads, streets, railways and departmental offices with homemade bombs and mines.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 3 August at 03:10 PM, according to the report that a deceased male with mine shrapnel injuries arrived at the District Hospital in Lashio Town of Northern Shan State, security personnel went and conducted an inspection. Upon inspection, Mg Tun Aye, 11 years old (Father) U Aung Tun, who lived in Taungtalaunt Village of Lashio Township, was found dead with mine shrapnel injuries on his left armpit, and right leg. The incident was verified that at 12:00 PM, he was searching for mushrooms with his parents in a forest beside a road leading to upland field west of the Village, when he stepped on a mine planted by insurgents (under scrutiny) which exploded. As a result of the explosion, he was dead from above mentioned injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security forces are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incident in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law.
