In order to cause casualties of peaceable people and administrative authorities who are working for restoring rule of law, extreme terrorists receiving financial assistance are carrying out destructive activities against public roads, streets, railways and departmental offices with homemade bombs and mines.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 10 August at 04:20 PM, two male terrorists (under scrutiny), riding on a motorcycle along 36th Road from east to west, threw a homemade bomb at the Maharnwesin Ward Administrator Office located on 36th Road between 70th and 71st Streets in Mahaaungmye Township, Mandalay Region, before fleeing. The homemade bomb landed and exploded on the vacant ground in front of the office. As a result, there were no injuries or damages to people or buildings, it is reported.
Likewise, on 11 August at 06:55 AM, according to the report that an explosion occurred at the “Shweinnsein” futsal football field, which features artificial grass, located within the Township General Administration Department housing compound on Minkwunkyaung Street of Taungthukone Ward in Insein Township, Yangon Region, security personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. According to the investigation, it is found that two homemade mines planted by terrorists (under scrutiny) had exploded near two futsal goal posts. As a result of the explosion, two futsal goal posts were damaged (with an estimated value of approximatley MMK six lakhs) and no injuries to people, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with laws.
