In order to cause casualties of peaceable people and administrative authorities who are working for restoring rule of law, extreme terrorists receiving financial assistance are carrying out destructive activities against public roads, streets, railways and departmental offices with homemade bombs and mines.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 18 August at 02:55 PM, two male terrorists (under scrutiny), who were riding a motorcycle from south to north along 78th Road, threw a China-made grenade at the Township Officer Office of the Department of Immigration and Population located on 78th Road in Chanmyatharzi (south) Ward of Chanmyatharzi Township, Mandalay Region, before fleeing. The grenade land and exploded near the motorcycle parking area in front of the Township Officer Office. As a result, Daw Hnin Hnin Aye, 46 years old, Daw Myint Mar, 67 years old, Daw Kyi Htay, 54 years old, Ma Su Myat Mon, 24 years old, U Zaw Min Hteik, 36 years old, Ko Kyaw Kyaw, 26 years old, and Mg Phoe La Pyae, 16 years old, who were present at the Office and near the Office at that time, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel. They were transported to the Mandalay Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 03:35 PM, Ko Thein Ko Ko, 23 years old, who lives in Latesaw Village of Bamauk Township, Sagaing Region, along with Ko Win Moe Zaw, 22 years old, who also lives in the same Village, were leaving on a motorcycle from Latesaw Village to Phaungpyin Town. When they arrived near the Innwyne Village intersection of Phaungpyin Township, they temporary stopped the motorcycle on the roadside for urinating. Unfortunately, they stepped on a homemade mine planted by so-called PDF terrorists which exploded. As a result, Ko Thien Ko Ko sustained two injuries from bomb shrapnel, and was transported to the Phaungpyin Township Public hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with laws.
Three males and four females were injured due to a grenade explosion thrown by two terrorists
