Terrorists Carried Out Terrorist Acts with Hand Grenade, Homemade Bomb and Mines by taking Security Personnel by Surprise

      In order to cause casualties of peaceable people and administrative authorities who are working for restoring rule of law, extreme terrorists receiving financial assistance are carrying out destructive activities against public roads, streets and departmental offices with homemade bombs and mines.
      Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 17 May at 08:00 AM, according to the report that an explosion occurred near Pauk Ditch Bridge (locally known as) in Naungkon Village of Kyaukgyi Township, Bago Region, security personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. According to the investigation, it is found that U Than Win, 42 years old, (Father) U Chit Phay, who lived in Lapat Village, was driving his sidecar motorcycle with his wife Ma Khin Thuzar Soe, 33 years old, (Father) U Yi Soe, and his father-in-law U Yi Soe, 53 years old, (Father) U San Tint, as passengers. When they arrived at the scene, a mine, planted by the KNU members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists, exploded. The explosion resulted in the destruction of the sidecar motorcycle, the death of U Than Win from mine injuries at the scene, and mine injuries sustained by Ma Khin Thuzar Soe and U Yi Soe. They were transported to the Kyaukgyi Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
      Similarly, at 04:30 PM, according to the report that an explosion occurred near Hokhae Village in Naungcho Township, Northern Shan State, security personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. According to the investigation, it is found that Mg Nay Win, 14 years old, (Father) U Ohn Kyi, who lives in Myaukgyikon Village, along with Ko Aung Phay, 32 years old, (Father) U Nandar, who also lives in the same Village, were working in an upland field located approximately one mile east of Hokhae Village, when he stepped on a mine planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group which exploded. The explosion caused Mg Nay Win to sustain mine injuries, and he was transported to the Naungcho Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
      It has been reported that the security forces are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with laws.
