The KNU Insurgent Group Supporting Terrorism and So-called PDF Terrorists Blew up and destroyed a Reinforced Concrete (RC) Bridge in Kyaukgyi Township

      Roads/bridges are being constructed as basic infrastructure for the development of socio-economic life in the region and to facilitate convenient and swift transportation for the people. Armed insurgents who support terrorism and the so-called PDF terrorists, who oppose peace and development in the country, have been carrying out reckless acts by blowing up and destroying roads/ bridges with homemade mines and homemade bombs.
      The incident happened that, on 3 May at 11:15 PM, the KNU insurgent group supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists blew up and destroyed the No. (2/21) reinforced concrete (RC) bridge. The bridge was 80 feet in length and 18 feet in width, and it was located on the Kyaukgyi-Natthankwin Road, near Naunggon Village in Kyaukgyi Township, Bago Region. The explosion caused the bridge to collapse approximately 40 feet from the front side, making it impossible for people and vehicles to pass through, it is reported.
      Security force members are continue taking necessary measures to take punitive legal actions against the perpetrators, who blew up and destroyed the public reinforcement concrete bridge, as soonest in accordance with laws and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
