Extremist terrorists are engaging in subversive activities, including setting fires and detonating explosives on public roads and bridges, with the aim of disrupting regional road connections.
The incident occurred that, on 19 December at 07:15 AM, a report stated that so-called PDF terrorists detonated an explosion at the No. (736), Nwartetmyaung Bridge situated between railway mile posts 353/3 and 353/4, connecting Mwaykone Village and Kyaung Village in Kyaukse Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the inspection, it was found that a homemade mine had exploded on the bridge. As a result of the explosion, two sleepers on the Yangon-Mandalay up-railway track were damaged, it is reported.
Responsible officials are now repairing the damaged sleepers and security personnel are continue taking necessary measures to take punitive legal actions against the terrorists who blew up the track bridge as soonest in accordance with law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
